Vehicles in German Town Found Smeared with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Roughly fifty automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Vehicles, exterior walls and postboxes were marked, occasionally with swastikas, they reported in a release.

Police report they were contacted during the night on Wednesday, when a man noticed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued substance.

The liquid had been drawn in the pattern of a banned symbol, they added.

Police then found numerous other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation banning the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Police report preliminary tests show the substance was most likely human blood.

"At present there remains no lead as to its origin; investigators are not yet cognizant of any harm in association with the occurrence," they commented.

Local authorities stated they were attempting "to resolve the mystery" and have appealed to the residents for tips.

A senior political figure commented the attack left him speechless and had to be resolved promptly.

"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the extremist violent incident five years ago," he stated on a platform, recalling the murder of nine victims by a gunman aiming at people of migrant background in February 2020.
